When Stefano Loi’s lovely wife Emma dies in a car accident, he loses his will to live. Then, against the wishes of his wealthy family, and especially Elide, the widow of Stefano’s beloved brother Gino, he falls in love with Asia, the girl hired to take care of his young children. But it turns out that Asia’s mother, whom Asia believed dead, is the woman convicted of Gino’s murder. Stefano’s feelings for Asia survive this test, and when the truth comes out – that Gino was actually murdered by his own wife, Elide  - both love and justice are able to triumph.
