Three sisters enjoy fame and fortune in Italy of the 1930’s as
the extremely popular Lescano Trio. But the girls’ Jewish roots
become a problem as war draws near. Forced to navigate their
way between Fascist protectors and men they love but are
doomed to lose, the sisters find themselves imprisoned on
trumped-up charges and plummeted into a world of frightening
interrogations and summary executions. When they regain their
freedom, they have lost their enormous popularity but learned
lessons that allow them to rebuild their lives with those they
truly love.
