This 90’ documentary is based on 16 documentaries made by leading Italian directors like Bernardo Bertolucci, Marco Bellocchio, Francesco Maselli and Florestano Vancini between 1957 - when Italy’s economic boom was still in the offi ng - and 1967 - a watershed year that sewed the seeds for the social protests and students revolts to come. The excerpts from the documentaries are enriched by a very accurate selection of newsreels taken from the Istituto Luce Historical Archives, and each of the fi lm’s four chapters - ”Eyewitness Narrators”,
